So I’m deferring my place at uni because of medical reasons but only a couple days before uni starts so I need to cancel my student finance which I get in three days. Will cancelling my student loan a few days before I get it affect my application next year and how much I get because I don’t want to lose out?

Cancel now before you are paid otherwise it will affect your entitlement next year

What about if I cancel my university application too because I want to reapply elsewhere after my gap year, will this affect my student finance? Thank you

Hi, as long as you don't attend then nothing will affect your eligibility.

Thanks, Isaac
