So I applied for a graduate job and the basic reason I was unsuccessful was because they decided to choose another candidate at an earlier stage of the application process.

They never mentioned it before

This company they are all for diversity and equality, but how is fair??

I thought ever candidate starts at the same process, I don't get it

Any advice?

There is nothing to get. Just move on.

They didn't provide you with any useful feedback so there is nothing for you to reflect on. Keep applying elsewhere - you probably dodged a bullet.

Yes.
It is fair that the employer decided to offer the job to another applicant.
Time to move on, apply for further jobs that meet your skillset range and pay expectations.
Good luck with your job hunting!
