What are the weekly timetables at universities like for the first year?Watch
Student life, in partnership with UEA
Monday: I have a 2 hour in person lecture from 1PM till 3PM but on my timetable it indicates its online as well as being in person, I assume the online is for international students who may need to isolate etc? After that I have no other sessions for the day. Also once a fortnight on a Monday I have a drop in session for my maths module as well which last two hours.
Tuesday: I begin the day with a 1 hr workshop which once again is being delivered online and in person, followed by a lecture being delivered both in person and online. I then have a 1 hr break and after I have another lecture being delivered both online and in person. After that I have no sessions for the rest of the day.
Wednesday: I have a 1hr workshop followed by a 1hr lecture once again with both being delivered online and in person, after that I have nothing for the rest of the day
Thursday: I have a 4 hour practical session lol with it being delivered in person or you can just do the practical remotely by connecting to the lab PCs. After that I am free for the rest of the day
Friday: I have a 2 hour practical that is being delivered in person or you can just do the practical remotely by connecting to the Lab PCs. After that I have a 1 hr lecture being delivered both in person and online then I am free for the rest of the day.
So yeah my timetable is pretty much the same for all the remaining weeks of semester 1 however from week 2 onwards I have tutorials but these are being delivered fully online, no in person tutorials and I also have laboratory sessions from week 2 onwards but these are being delivered in person and online to give flexibility I guess?
So pretty much:
- I have 6 hours of lectures per week
- I have 2 hours of workshops per week
- I have 6 hours of practical's per week
- I have 5 hours of tutorials per week
- I have 4 hours of laboratory classes per week (lab sessions begin from week 2 onwards)
