Hi. I'm currently living at home with my brother and my mum and her husband. So in total Rent + water + council tax+ internet and electirc and gas for a month it comes to approx £1,150. In your opinion how much rent do you think is reasonable for me to pay a month ?

Thanks

Well that's what i imagine any reasonable person would do, but me and my brother i currently paying £350 a month each and it's now going up to £400 a month each, surely it isn't just me does that sound absolutely ridiculous!?

Well i can't think what other bills there are, but it includes Rent,Water,Gas,Electric and council tax, it does include food, but i buy my own food anyway.
If it comes to £1150 a month then why should me and brother pay £800 a month towards that.

You will be paying a lot more than £400 a month when you do. Your parent also I imagine has to maintain the property, buy appliances and has various other costs associated to running a home. Tbh you are getting off lightly.
