Okay so let's paint a scenario, let's imagine you were a successful online business and you were earning £5mil a year.

Now because your business is online , your location doesn't really matter, so if this person was to move to a place with very low taxes such as Dubai . is this person doing something morally wrong, or is he/she just smart?

I don't get why that would be morally wrong

many would argue that avoiding taxes as the main reason to moving is a little wrong . btw I dont agree with it being wrong but i just wanted opinions

I'd consider moving to an autocratic country where those living there are denied basic rights and freedoms we take for granted to be unethical.

I think its smart- as long as u acc want to and are happy there since u obvs can afford it as well.
Sometimes taxes can be worth paying depending on the lifestyle u want to have.

I would live in hell and socialise with Satan if it meant zero taxes.

Lots of big businesses use for example Luxembourg for their companies to avoid paying high taxes.

Very wise choice.

As for morality, a man's wealth is worth just as much as his blood and honour. Nothing wrong in protecting it.

I have no ethical or moral issue with tax avoidance to reduce liabilities and maximise profits.
But I would steer clear of the middle east.
Along with all nations with authoritarian governance or unstable regimes- regardless of the tax rates.
Lots less risk just sticking to traditional tax havens like: the bahamas, channel islands, cayman islands, ireland, luxembourg, monaco, nevada and switzerland.

Does that mean that you are planning to relocate to florida one day and spend all your spare time socialising with the most fanatical devotees of the MAGA cult?

Can I ask how nevada is a tax haven? don't they have like 35% state tax?

Nevada has no income tax or corporate tax.
It does have sales tax and a few real estate taxes.
