best meds for migraines?

any reccomendations? it can be otc or prescription, i can get hold of pretty much anything. i'm desperate at this point bc my migraines are really bad. sometimes they last 2-4 weeks. they're usually accompanied by light/noise sensitivity and nausea.
i haven't 'had any luck with stuff like paracetamol or nurofen.

Sumatriptan helps me sometimes if taken early. Otherwise I just deal with them by lying in bed.

Strong dose of aspirin for a severe migraine works but requires a snooze soon afterwards to finish it off

I hear amitriptyline helps? Personally i just take co-codamol and hope for the best
