I am absolutely obsessed with food. Even when eating a meal I get upset at the thought of it finishing, and think of my next. I’ve tried to starve but it left me agitated, cranky, almost like withdrawal symptoms. I just want to hate food. I’ve had enough. Please help. I am an overweight girl but I’m physically healthy, I’ve won a sports bursary, ranked 4th in England for the junior rowing championships legue (shook Prince fillips hand RIP) and I’m captain of my netball team, so please no rude comments or guilt trip about declining health, I obviously know that.

idk if this helps but one thing i tried was getting into the mindset of it’s not what you eat it’s how much you eat. i still have a terrible relationship with food but it’s worked in the sense that i realised i don’t need to cut out every single bad food or starve myself if that makes sense

See your doctor. Wanting to 'hate' food is wrong; you need a healthy relationship with it as it should provide pleasure as well as fuel for your body. Or try a charity like Beat.

My doctor doesn’t care and told me to stop eating by 18:00pm and do 15minutes of exercise. I had ink in my eye went to gp surgery and they told me to leave and go to the eye hospital instead. They don’t care for me and I feel like I’m bothering them.

Then see a different doctor or a nutritionist or counsellor. Telling you to go to specialists for your eye is hardly not caring!

I had ink in my eye, the told me to leave. I was blind, how could they expect me to travel to the nearest hospital one hour away! It’s not caring.
