Online lecture or face to face lectures what is betterWatch
Student life, in partnership with UEA
It shocked me how much I actually enjoyed online lectures. We were still able to access all content, breakout rooms allowed us to interact with people we would not normally sit with and I quite enjoyed presenting ideas back to the group with screen share. 9ams are also a lot easier when you can wake up 5 minutes before and participate from your bed!
However, my favorite is still face to face. I feel a lot more accomplished if I have physically been to university. A full day of lectures at my desk could feel like nothing as I hadn't moved all day. I also love the social aspect, chit chat and grabbing a drink between lectures is so gratifying. I feel like I have so many to catch up with when uni starts up again.
Also, I am on a teaching course so I love to be in as we can physically use all of the resources that are in our classrooms and more practical activities can be done.
However I do like lecture halls as spaces and enjoy sitting in them. Ideal scenario is watching it alone in the lecture hall!
Small group seminars or Q&A better in person imo
Honestly, in person lectures will be such a let down for those who experience them first time in 3rd year haha
