Hi, does anyone know if when you get an ECT contract it states the current years salary or the next years salary (i.e. with the payrise that will come for the start of your first year)? This is important for mortgage application, I am concerned it won't show the actual salary for the year you will start because the payrise may not have yet been agreed, especially if you obtain a job fairly early.

What pay rise? There's no payrise planned for teachers next year yet...

Usually, your salary will state your point on the payscale, e.g. M1, but you can point out it is very likely to increase for the first 6 years of your career. I believe there are brokers which specialise in teaching who may be able to help.
