Title says its all really.

Basically I'm booked to go on holiday for a long weekend during term-time & I want to know whether my absence would be noticed.

Cheers.

Yes, when you go to a lecture, you must sign in, if you attendance falls below a certain % then you can’t pass the year

Varies between courses, and even individual modules. For many programmes lecture attendance isn't recorded for most modules, although some may record it. Often tutorials/seminars/labs will take attendance though. Some degree programmes may take attendance though, especially e.g. healthcare professions courses and similar. Also international students need to have their attendance recorded as part of their visa requirements normally I believe.

If in doubt, assume attendance will be taken until you know otherwise!

Varies uni to uni, some track it strictly others rarely mention it.

It tends to be stricter in first year when new students are adjusting to the environment.
