proof by contradiction quick question. pls help asap.

do we essentially need to memorise the 4 basic examples and then use the same logic for all of the questions?

or is there a specifc trick to these kinds of questions?
On both the AQA and Edexcel specifications it says "including proof of the irrationality of √2 and the infinity of primes, and application to unfamiliar proofs."
