I was wondering if anyone has any experience with reverse dieting. Did it work or not work? How long did it take for you? How many cals you were eating before + after? Anything anecdotal information really! :-)

What do you mean by reverse dieting? Intentional weight gain?

Reverse dieting means very very slowely increasing your calories so your basal metabolic rate increases and you eat a healthier or more common amount of calories than previously. Apparently a lot of fitness/bodybuilding people do it and a lot of personal trainers talk about it online, however its not talked about a lot generally because most people dont need to do it.

I feel like crash dieting then periods of eating a lot more food is unhealthy and unsustainable.

I think people should learn to control their eating habits and then stay consistent.
