I only did 5 GCSES and 2 GCSE equivalents
Physics: 5
English lang / lit: 8/7
Psychology: 6
Maths: 6
Cambridge tech Computing: Merit
IT Technicals level 2: Merit
How much will this impact my university choices even if i get As / A*s

Have a look at the entry requirements for the course+universities you’re thinking of applying for - some will have more gcse requirements than others

Unis may ask for specific GCSE subjects/grades - typically Maths and sometime English - check each course page on each Unis website.
If you apply without these you will get a swift rejection regardless of your A level predictions.

In general, Unis may use your 'overall GCSE profile' as part of their assessment 'scoring' - however it will bea tiny % of the overall score and so wont be a deal-breaker. And most Unis will consider BTEC Level 2 as equivelant to GCSEs and will score accordingly.

Hi! From what I've read, even top universities aren't too worried about your GCSE grades unless specified within the requirements for your course. Even then, usually the required grade is somewhere around a 5 or 6: for example, studying law at Leeds University asks for 'a substantial number of GCSE passes at a high standard', and grade 5/6 in English Language for international students. As long as you get predicted good A-level grades, you should be fine
