Hi, I am currently doing my NEA coursework part of my a- level history and was wondering if I could have some advice on how to structure it. My question is “in the context of the period 1863-1965 the activities of the civil rights movement was the most important factor in securing civil rights for African Americans

Structure I did for my coursework was have one long paragraph for each historian/interpretation. In it I'd analyse the validity of their arguments based on the primary evidence they use and the primary evidence I had found.

But before you do that you need to find what the interpretations are. Check your textbook for excerpts from historians, they'll try to include a range of different ideas. That could give you a starting-off point.
