I received my results for my second year in uni today I got a pass!
However my progression is to continue this year of study part time - I was doing combined honours and in may this year dropped one and went to single honours .
I’m really great til for my pass I’m just wondering how student finance will work regarding this ? Will I be entitled to funding childcare grants etc as I will be classed as doing my second year to complete all the modules on a single honours ? It’s so confusing 😖

Hi, congratulations on the pass.

A full time student can't change to a part time course unless you withdraw from the full time course.

You can be classed as a part time student on a full time course.

Full time students can receive funding for the length of the course, plus one additional year.
So if you have not used your additional year then you could use it to complete your third year in two years for example.

Thanks, Isaac
