How bad is a 2040 UCAT score when its your first time, and you did not study and prepare for it at all? (personal reasons)

Very bad. You don't even make the 1st decile for 2020. The only medical school that you will get interviewed at with this score is Cardiff and that's if all your GCSE's are at 8/9. Take the BMAT

In terms of applying this time round, it looks pretty unlikely if I'm honest. But don't feel down heartened by that score if it's your first time and you didn't prepare. If you do next time, I'm confident you'd get a score that's at least above average and probably a good one! That's a respectable starting point. But yeah, I agree with the poster above, if you want to apply this year then try the BMAT

Post this on the megathread. I can't suggest medical schools to apply to without your A-level predictions and GCSE.
