Anyone ever used seetickets.com?

I bought tickets to see stereophonics in manchester from seetickets.com, but only after i'd bought them (in the confirmation e-mail) did i notice that tickets may be dispatched up to 2days before the event

This is an issue because i put my home address in swansea as the delivery address. I was hoping that my mum would receive them and send them up to me, but if they only arrive in swansea 2days before the gig she wont have enough time to post them to reach me in time, and a v.tiring and exensive round trip to collect the tickets from swansea will be on the cards.

I was just wondering, in your experience, how long before the gig did your tickets arrive?

I've ordered from them before! I think the tickets came about a week before the event

EDIT What Noemie said, change your address! You can do it online as far as I know when you log in

You rarely get them more than a week before the gig (usually three or four days). It may seem silly, but it's for a good reason (the tickets often aren't printed until late, lower risk of them being nicked/forged or whatever).

I did receive my ticket for Jools Holland about two months early, which was a suprise, but it's usually four days or so.

Although even if you don't receive them until two days before the gig, they should still arrive in time by first class (still risky, but...).

You could try phoning them and try to arrange a ticket collection from the veunue. I don't think you'll be too successful though.

Edit: - Oh yeah, if you made an account with them you should be able to log in and change your address.
I bought a ticket for WWE RAW and got it about 5 weeks later over the summer ... the event isnt until november 17. :p:

Hmmmm, seems risky to leave it and hope for the best. I'll have a crack at changing the delivery address, thanks guys!
every ticket i have had from them, i have received over a month away from the gig...

dont worry; they always say that, but in most cases, youll get it beforehand. it depends on the people issuing the tickets though i *think*.

oh and to the best of my knowledge, they use SMS couriers to deliver the tickets, not special delivery. GAH. find somewhere that will deliver special delivery cos i hate couriers.

I think it depends on the artist. I ordered Jools Holland tickets (cheap ones, for quite a low key event) and they arrived about a month before. I also ordered tickets for the Foo Fighters at Wembley Stadium - these were about £50 each, sold out and selling on ebay for about £200 each - I got them on the Thursday and the gig was Saturday!

Do what the others said - see if you can change your address. You've got a valid reason. And because the tickets are booked up to a year in advance it's not unlikely that people will have moved anyway.

true. for massive events its more likely to be really late. so for stereophonics you'd better change the address or something!

Couriers are great, they text you when they're going to deliver them usually. Better than Royal Mail man who potentially turns up any time between 7am and 5pm then knocks so feebly at your door that he is drowned out by chirping birds in nearby trees.

but at least with royal mail i can go to the sorting office place thing and get them from there:biggrin:. every courier ive ever had literally rattles the letterbox, hence why when i know ive got something coming i literally have to sit by the door all morning!

i just like the fact that with royal mail, i can go round and pick it up, whereas with a courier, theyll attempt to redeliver but normally the time wont suit me.

oh, and SMS, the ones seetickets use, wont give you your stuff unless youve got ID. and if your mum is picking it up for you (ie at home) or something, then youll have to give her your ID so she can sign for it, which while having its pros, is one hell of a hassle!

I've ordered from them a few weeks ago, haven't got tickets yet. It's not until November 30th though, and they said I'll probs get it the week before. They took my money when I bought them though. :-/

Fair points one and all. I think it depends where you live really, which particular person is doing the couriering. Last time it was some old guy who smelt like a thousand ashtrays and he didn't mention ID at all! But then I used to live miles and miles from the sorting office so I was a bit biased against RM, is much better after moving.

they got really militant over reading tickets, but it may have just been them!! yeah you get some really annoying people!

RM, naturally is good if youre located close to a sorting office:p:
With seetickets you really never know.
They are reliable but I ordered tickets the other day for a gig and they came the next day, whereas I've waited til a few days before in the past.

I ordered Xiu Xiu tickets from them back in may the day before the gig and I was able to collect it on the door, I gave them a ring because I was worried about not having the ticket aswell and they sorted it out pretty efficiently.

Gah, I hate SeeTickets. My friend had to change the delivery address for our 2007 Leeds Festival tickets and even though she changed it around a month in advance and recieved a conformation e-mail for the change, they still messed it up and tried to send the tickets to the wrong house. My other friend had to go to the Post Office depot on the morning of the festival and beg the postman to give her the tickets... if they hadn't given her them it'd have been £150 down the drain. :/

So be careful with changing the delivery address with SeeTickets. :/

I've never had a problem with sending tickets out that last myself - i've got tickets here for shows in over 2 months, from see tickets.

Personally though, i prefer using gigwise.

gigwise still use seetickets for their sales though.

Personally, I try to book the tickets through the venues website (if possible). Otherwise, I'll use seetickets.
