I am about to start my course and have lived in accommodation for a week and would like to drop out for a year due to mental health and am contacting accommodation admissions as well as any other links I need to contact. My first Payment is due on the 27th and they charge for the term but I emailed them a few days ago. The now respond saying they wont be in office until the 29th and have a lot of emails to get through which I believe is unfair for all students with any issues they are having financial or not. However, my main issue is how is dropping out going to work I am very concerned and its just piling on more stress for me and I simply do not know what to do. Will I still have to pay for the whole term even though I haven't studied. Has anybody else been in a similar situation?

think your allowed to cancel contract if your no longer a student as student accommodations can only rent their rooms to students. if your no longer classed as a student, I believe you are able to exit the tenancy contract without charge
