Also just for people with low ucat scores... You won't find many of them on the student room... I just want to say that stay optimistic. I got a horrible score of 2330 and I've got an interview from Dundee. Not heard back from Edinburgh or Glasgow. But it goes to show that it's not the end of the world. I need to smash this interview and hopefully get a place. Dundee is my first choice as well. So keep fighting guys!!

How did you do? Similar dituation here for 2022

3 of those are BMAT and Liverpool have completely changed their shortlisting process, so it won’t be much help to you, as you do not have a BMAT score (but they were below Imperial’s cut off)

Has anyone heard from leeds at all? They are being so slow at getting out info. They haven’t even officially updated that they will be conducting interviews online. Today is the last day of term so im like really worried they will make us wait until next year even tho they said they will give out interviews in December :/

If you dont mind me asking did you have any med offers?

That user has not been online for 4 months. If you hover over their name, you can the view all their posts and see what else they have posted. This poster got offers from Birmingham, Keele and Leeds, which highly suggests she had a lot of contextual points (just checked, and yes, she got full contextual points)
https://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/showthread.php?t=6654034&p=94714281&page=196&highlight=#post94714281

You cannot work out your chances of making the cut off this year from what happened to one or two random people, who may have very different individual circumstances from you, in a different year, and possible different selection criteria. Check FOIs if you want a better overview of what scores might be needed, or read individual uni threads from past years on here, where you will get a less individual-specific idea

Thanks. I apologise if this is not the conventional way. Not sure how TSR works.

Eligible for contextual offers but only at a small number of unis - not confident on achieving anything like those predicted grades. Hence eclectic choices, realise some very risky...

Hi 2023 applicants! If you're reading this then well done! Being in a position to apply to medicine is no easy task and it is a massive privilege so be proud of yourself! It can be easy to scroll through these posts and feel so demoralised as applicants with amazing stats sadly sometimes get multiple rejections. Please try your best not to compare yourselves to them. Everyone has their own personal circumstances which affect whether or not they receive offers or not. As cliche as it sounds, everyone on here is more than a list of dates and updates.

The most important thing to do is analyse your strengths and weaknesses and apply strategically. It is undoubtedly useful to see past applicants with similar stats and their outcomes at different universities, particularly pre-interview. However, if you have multiple options with your stats on paper, try to consider your chances post-interview too. This is something I wish I'd thought about more last year as aside from gaining experience, you are in no better position receiving 4/4 interviews and then rejections than 4/4 straight rejections. Every university interviews a different number of applicants and then offers places to a different % of interviewed applicants after and you can find this information online so please make use of it! The team on TSR are amazing in giving you a realistic understanding of where you should apply so again, make use of it!

Good luck guys - looking forward to seeing the offers rolling in next year!

Under no illusions, fully expecting to have to resit the UCAT next application cycle but... Nothing ventured, nothing gained I suppose. Limited in my options as to where I meet entry requirements so this is the most strategic I could get considering the circumstances unfortunately. Let the games begin 🙃 Best of luck to everyone!
