You just want all the areas to the max:
*Academics - target uni, top A-Levels
*Experience - pre-uni finance programs + any relevant stuff you can get
*Extracurriculars - anything showing proactiveness or leadership (this is least important tbh)

You would also ideally be an ethnic minority and/or from a low socioeconomic background to get the support of diversity recruiting and SEO/Rare

Any relevant experience you can get. Internships, work experiences etc in relevant roles/firms.
Relevant just means relating to your career goals. E.g. if you wanted to go into IB, this would be firms that either do IB or foster similar skillsets.

I remember seeing a guy on Linkedin a couple of years back boasting on his profile bio that he received TEN Spring week offers (accepted and did 2 of them, like Goldman and JP I think). He was Indian/Muslim Oxford student with highschool banking insight days and was some national debating champion or something like that.
