1. Is it common that the notice period is "3 months" for termination of employment contracts for associates and senior associates? It is really long........

2. What exam support will be available for new joiners who are studying for accounting qualifications (e.g. ACA, CTA)? Do they need to pay for external training courses and books by themselves?

Thanks.

The firms pay for all study materials and tuition courses. They will also give time off work for this.

Hey - I work for one of the big 4 and qualified in July. Notice period when you are an associate (before qualifying) is typically 4 weeks. After qualifying it is 3 months. I would know as I handed in my notice last week and am on a 3 month notice period since qualifying. Exam support is great tbh. The big 4 pay for everything exam wise. All the tuition, the materials and the exams will be paid by your firm. The only time you’ll have to pay for the exam is if you fail and are on your last chance.
