I need help with Oyster card 18+ student approval

Alright so this might sound crazy as I searched this forum and I couldn't find anyone who had the same issue as me. The issue I am having is that I have been waiting over a week for my student Oyster card to be approved by my Uni and today I found out that it was approved 10 days ago (an email was sent however gmail threw it to spam for some odd reason) and it said from the time it was sent I had 72 hours to add a pay as you go credit or travel card, clearly I missed that point as I was never notified of the email, I check my email everyday and I never thought that google would ever throw it to spam. The problem now is when I sign into Oyster it stays on waiting for approval although it has been approved. help, i really dunno what to do about this

I do not live in London, but I have visited multiple times. I am sure that if you visit the nearest underground ticket office, they'll sort it out for you.

I have applied for student oyster card but its showing under approval and required placement letter. As i didn't get a job so i don't have a apployment letter. I paid required fees now what should i do to approve my card or how can get paid amount back?
