Joining Sports Clubs

Sorry, I wasnt sure where to ask this question.

Hello! I'm currently 16 and in college and I've always wanted to do sports as hobby ever since I was young.
I generally prefer Netball and have wanted to try indoor volleyball.
Unfortunately I was too shy and nervous to play all throughout secondary school or join their netball club and I sincerely regret it. I have zero clue if my college offers sports clubs so unfortunately I'm gonna have to try again at uni with BUCS.

Do university sports clubs cost money to attend or are they free?
Is it worth paying for a membership to clubs nowinstead of waiting till I get to uni
Any advice is greatly appreciated!

(The only indoor volleyball club I can find is £60 monthly for under-18s !! Expensive!! )
