I just do not get it. I'm applying to multiple Accounting roles, early entry as well as graduate ones. Most of the roles need 1 or 2 years experience in a similar role. How am I supposed to get experience if even the earliest stage careers require experience. Please make it make sense.

Have a look at graduate schemes. A lot of the top firms like kpmg, BDO, PWC don't ask for any prior accounting experience for their graduate programmes. You can choose from a wide range of specialisms like audit, tax, corporate finance etc to suit your interests.

What is your current position (degree?). What if any work experience do you have?

Good news, with your qualification and experience you should be able to get onto a graduate role at many of the top accounting firms and also smaller firms.

Have someone read over your application before you send it off. Talk about your transferable skills i.e. communication with customers, problem solving and also your accounting knowledge. A lot of fims use online tests, with those practice is key.
