How much days rest does push pull legs require?

Basically, push pull legs is the exercise I wanna do at the gym but I don't know how much days rest this requires.

After looking on here and other websites some people say that push pull legs only requires 1 day where you fully rest because in no 48 hour period are you working the same muscle groups. Others say you need at least 3 or 4 otherwise you could be more likely to injure yourself and affect muscle gain.

Anyways my question is, which one is right? Is it true that by doing push pull legs I can work out 6x a week because I'm only working a certain muscle group twice a week? Or can I not do that and instead should and will I still make gains only doing push pull legs once a week on 3 separate days? Thanks.
1 rest day a week on PPL.
