So I’m studying a life science degree and like using flash cards. I’ve heard of Anki and Quizlet but don’t know which to choose. I have an iPhone so I know that no matter which I get I’ll have to pay, either for the app, or for specific functions in the app. I have tried both but I’m not sure which to use. I really like the games and stuff in Quizlet but they got rid of the spaced repetition feature (which is so important). Anki I like the spaced repetition bit and that I can do lots of different types of cards, but I don’t like the interface and it just feels less developed because of this.

So I guess, what one should I use for a biology based life science degree?

You should try getting an add-on if you hate Anki’s interface.

Problem solved.

That wasn’t my only question about the two. I was hoping someone people on here who tried them might have some advice.

I used Anki for 4 years for a STEM degree (and longer for languages) and I only have positive things to say about it. Anki is far more advanced than any other general-use SRS available and unless you're just using it to remember vocab or keywords, using Anki is a no-brainer.
