Petrified to get the train!

Hello!

Hope you are all well.
I have recently taken my dream job but this requires stepping right to my comfort zone. It involves travelling. I have done the journey multiple times with someone for different reasons. As I am going in to be a trainee dental nurse at one of Londons top hospitals I have had to have jabs etc..

I suffer with Anxiety and Depression.... This was my biggest fear (travelling alone) when I was 12-14 and now my dreaded anxiety about it has come back!
my worry is not about missing trains or getting lost I am all very good with that however my worry is the general public.
I think everyone is out to get me, being a women I am sure most of us have the same worry! The hospital I work in also specialises in stabbings and violence and has a massive mental hospital on the walk to the station.

I am thinking who will get on the train? will they follow me? are they thinking of harming me? are they going to sexually assault me? have they got something they can stab me with?

I can not drive de to congestion, parking and being stuck in traffic for hours... just isn't an option

then I think
do I sit near the exit where its an easy escape or will someone drag me off? do I sit where I can see everything or just hid in the corner? do I stand or sit? I know it will sound silly to most people as I know thousands do it everyday but it is crippling me.. to the point where I wrote out an email saying I can not attend the job but haven't sent it as this is my dream career.

Any advice on how I can get on and not worry about this everyday and calm my nerves
Thank you

I do drive but can not due to congestion and parking
thanks
Just think that there are a lot of people with you every day on the journey - your fellow passengers, 99.9 percent of whom are perfectly decent human beings
Sometimes bad things do happen , but they can happen anywhere - at work or even at home
But we can't stop living
As long as you are in a public area with plenty of people around, there shouldn't be anything to fear. 99.9% of people you see in the public are just there to get from point A to B, just like you they have somewhere to go. Don't hesitate to ask someone for help, they will.

If your fear is someone following you. Go to a shop immediately with people and tell a worker who will call the police.

Don't let your anxiety and fear stop you from doing something you want to do, otherwise you will live with that regret your whole life. If not is there anywhere else that will take you on if you have dread with the area.

Uber or just park a bit far away
Since you're in london you'd be happy to know that talking to strangers on the tube is actually a crime. There are cameras on trains and in stations so I doubt that anything will happen there. Seeing a lot of victims of violence will change your perception on things but 99.999% of people go about their daily lives without getting stabbed. If you're extra paranoid then avoid "bad" areas like Tottenham, Peckham, Lewisham, Barking etc. You can also memorise the exact door to the way out at your station to avoid being followed and walk up the escalators. I like standing at the end of carriages near the single doors so I can see everything that goes on in the carriage.
In London, people don't even give eye contact on trains. Let alone touch you. Doesn't matter if someone is dying or twerking on the train, people will just mind their business.
Seek help, unhealthy mentality.

Used to live in Lewisham, my mate was threatened for having a mass beard. Or worked out he was Jewish or something, yeah what **** hole.
