Mistaken identity

Do you guys feel that whenever you go to a place or go to bar you think people are staring at you or even caught someone filming you in a way.

Lately I have Been getting looks from people like if they have met you before or you see someone where there phone sort of secretly taking a picture of you to see if your someone else or it mainly being paranoid and social anxiety.

As I have anxiety anyway but I haven’t be diagnose just always over think things and being careful what to say to people I dunno just always been a Train of thought just wanted to know if you guys experienced this as felt it was an interesting topic
Try not to overthink things. I used to think the same about everyone staring at me but in reality I was looking at them to. I am quite inquisitive so I do tend to look at people, what they wear or how they look. Not to be rude but I’m a curious person lol. The fact the majority of the population are sat staring at their phones, it’s completely normal to think it may be pointed towards you but it’s not. I was sat at the back of the bus once, you know where there are four seats, two facing each other? And a girl was on her phone all the way home laughing and smiling and practically had her phone aimed at me and I was like omg why is she filming me!! But she was just on her phone and it was the positioning.

It’s ok to overthink sometimes but don’t let it keep reoccurring, tell yourself a positive thing as to why it could be before drawing to a negative.

You may be good to look at too and that’s why, you never know.

I think it might be my mind plays tricks on me I’m not sure but if I hear somebody that’s says the guy or whatever when I go for a coffee or when I go to my uni there is always that feeling that someone is looking right at me that’s why I tend to be in my room and not socialise enough and don’t want to be confronted by someone else because somebody showed me a picture of some guy i’m which they had an issue with in the accommodation and they said he looks quite similar to me this was a while a go mind my issue is I’m a nice person and don’t want people for me to be mistaken for someone that’s a bad person if you get me I just hear voices when I past people and some rumours goes on in student accommodations

Have you ever had this issue before going to uni? Has this ever happened to you before?

The reason I ask is because it sounds like that’s the cause of you’re anxiety and paranoia right now. It’s almost as if you’re always on edge and you’re on fight or flight mode waiting for something fo happen. The chances of someone mistaking your identity is highly unlikely. It’s a shame that person told you that because it’s almost like it’s ruined your experience at uni and also caused you to suffer mentally. Is there anyone at uni like a well-being team you can talk to and discuss what happened and how it’s made you feel, it will really help!
When I go outside, I know everyone is starting at me. I've put it down to my height as I guess people aren't used to seeing a girl who is this tall. Cause there is no other reason for someone to be looking at me cause I'm average looking and I'm not doing anything weird. It happens everyday and almost all the time. Since I've moved cities though, it is happening a lot less.

Id put my mind to rest if someone said to their friend whatever she might off said after she left the elevator or maybe I’m just over thinking things a lot but it’s not like have done anything wrong because I’m nice person I’m general I don’t start beef with anyone or cause any drama

but if someone had a problem they would have said something to me or send a message or something like that you know I’m not sure as well if smoking bud has anything that would increase my paranoia but I’m not sure in all honestly trying to live in this accommodation and make new friends is rather difficult and I don’t want to give a wrong impression to anyone but everyone is different I try and not hang around with people who like to be toxic
