Do people going to Glastonbury actually like the type of headliners on nowadays?

I always thought that Glastonbury was about sitting through the festival to discover new artists (along with seeing the small artists that you like on a big stage). At least that is what most of my friends who were interested in it seemed to be like.

I also say this because I would completely feel embarrassed if I were to say to those friends that I like a lot of what headlines Glastonbury nowadays. It surprises me that there is a crossover sizable enough for Glastonbury to have them as headliners, particularly the rappers. For me it has always been a band music festival.
