girlfriend with multiple personality disorder, self unaware

I believe my girlfriend is suffering from multiple personality disorder.
we have been together for just over a year (including the one month break up because we still lived together.) and its become a definite obvious that she is not "entirely herself" during certain times.
She has a large quantity of memory lapses that she just writes off as either a dream (alot) or never happened. They have been happening increasingly often and have been getting worse. Usually occurring before, during and after any sexual contact. there are a long list of very descriptive events that i could get into where this has happened with her but it would take several days to write out. She (now to be referred to as G1) also has no idea that she has another personality but the other personality (G2) is very aware of her and very volatile and sexual (in a scary way). and G2 wants me hardcore.

Stages:
(A) It used to be that we would have sex and after she (G1) would pass out and wake up later wanting more and we would do it, then in the morning she wouldnt remember the "second round", but she was completely active and aware while it was happening. At that time i just looked at it humorously as "it was so good she cant think straight" I would tell her it happened and she would think i was joking. Sometimes i was even greeted during the actual act after her going through the usual things that women do (sounds, scratches, etc), with a sudden yawn a blink and then "mmmm baby if you wanted some why didnt you wake me?" which to be honest, anytime anything happened at night, she, G1, was fully present (or so it seemed...)
(B)Then we would do it either in the middle of the day or morning or night and she would remember nothing (even minutes afterward) but be excessively tired and not able to walk.
(C)After we broke up for a month we "didnt have sex" afterwards and "havent" since, and its been about 3 months, and were back together (like i said only a one month break up).

we have lived together since about july and we've actually had sex several times at night with her starting it and not remembering a dang thing in the morning but being so very present during. The other night, as in this past week, it happened again but this time it was different and i caught onto it! she went from completely asleep to fully awake with a blink and started doing things with me, Im in college and 20, its not difficult to get me hard or willing. we start ugh-hm and after a few minutes she stops, becomes very still and rigid in my arms, then she screams and with her long nails, claws her face and then my chest (didnt draw any blood though) makes a fist and tries to hit me! with the window open a bit the light from the near street barely lights the room at night and i was able to block the fist and she hissed "dont you ever think of touching me again!" all with her eyes closed. immediately afterwards she fell limp again, i shook her (not too hard) trying to wake her up and she wouldnt! when i stopped and figured i would ask her in the morning, the moment i lay back down she was facing me eyes wide open and glossy with a big smile on her face rubbing me in general places and begging me for it.
but she sounded different, her pupils were larger and she asked for things that G1 not only wouldnt do but could not do Physically. it gets even weirder but like i said would probably take several days to write, i really dont want her (them?) to know that im writing this because of things G2 said that she would do if G1 found out. and the fact that it reoccurred 2 nights after that and G2 was significantly aware of exactly what i liked, what my weakness was, and was developing ways to get rid of G1 which confuses me among other things.

and theres also the possiblity that this whole thing could be deleted.

Welcome to a little slice of my life.
Any suggestions anyone?

Maybe I am overly sensitive/paranoid but my first instinct would be to get the hell out as that would freak the hell out of me

That's really quite bizarre.

try googling dissosiative identity disorder! that sounds a hell of a lot like what i have read and seen other people who suffer this illness act like! this is the only advice i can give because i dont know how or where to begin on acting on it, just google it and talk to your gp as she is most likely not to realise it is going on and once you have sought advice from your gp you will know how to approach her about it.

alternatively google "bpd forums" and click the mental health world one there will be a lot of people on there ready to help you.

hope this helps

wow u write a lot
Christ, no... don't just leave her, get her help!

She really has no idea?!... If you're not a troll... film her different personality, and show it to her. I don't know what else to say- she needs urgent medical advice.
im not sure what to say, and how to advise you on this. It seems such an individual problem...

I would try and get her all the help she can, and i think you need to stay by her side and help her through it, if you can.

sound like sleep walking. some people are quite active and awake whilst sleepwalking. its also dangerous to wake someone up while they re sleep walking. i would see a doctor if i was her
Wait, if that's not normal? Brb gotta make a call
i dont mean to sound too blunt, because i know she's your girlfriend and you care about her, but it seriously sounds to me as though she should be sectioned, not only for your safety, but for hers as well.

you're right, her symptoms do match those of MPD, and she needs to be treated. speak to someone in her family and let them know of the situation immediately.

I would try filming her and playing it back to her?
Have you discussed with her that she isnt always herself? If she knows she cant rememebr things etc she may realise she has a problem and except help. I agree with some others, dont leave her but try and help her see someone about it.

sorry cant be more helpful and hope things improve xx

To be brutally honest she needs to be commited and assessed properly by a trained psychiatrist - plainly something's not right.

Im back, couldnt find the page again after i posted for some reason. anyways, I brought up the possibility of her having MPD to her one day at lunch about 2 or 3 weeks ago at lunch and told her what had happened and she thought that it was the funniest thing she had ever heard. the possibility of her having an alterate personality to her was the most hilarious thing in the world. she thought i was crazy! But when you think about it, if someone told you that you had another personality that was doing things that you had no recollection of and would never do, you would find it quite funny too. then she accused me of cheating on her with her otherself, if her otherself did so exist and it was not "her" (G1) then it must be considered cheating. WTF!

So that night she literally passed out after we ate, like still standing, and i tried to catch her (came close, hey i was on the other side of the room) and she hit the floor. she then started spasming really bad on the floor and i tried to wake her. well her eyes opened but, once again, there seemed to be nobody home. so i carried her to the couch put her down put a blanket over her and tried to wake her again but to no avial. so i kissed her goodnight and started walking away, looked back and her eyes were open again with an odd little smile, and i thought aha! proof! and i grabbed the video camera and walked back over but before i could turn it on, she saw it gave a little hiss and went back to sleep. Im like dang, so just in case, gotta prove my innocense and that im not crazy, so i shook her gently and tried to wake her up. well she started litterally crying, with real tears, in her sleep (eyes closed) and mumbling about how "they" left her in the dark all alone. i managed to film that for 50 seconds before she fell back asleep and the camera died.

so i stayed up and watched TV for about 30 minutes before i actually tried and succeeded in waking her up and got her to go upstairs to bed. i told her in the morning what happened and she said she couldnt remember anything after dinner.

I told her about how she passed out and what had happened and showed her the film and she asked me why i cant ever leave her the F* alone while shes sleeping. what can i say man? i basically got no case.

oh and she also broke up with me i think it was the week of halloween and all this happened a few days before that. however we still live together until my other apartment is ready in dec. and still sleep together, with no sex, so ive been trying to avoid the possiblity of running back into G2. ha sleep as far away on the bed as i can just in case.

Welcome to a little slice of my life.
Anyone?
Man if she dumped you then run as fast as you can. She has a neurological disorder, she sounds like she's sleep walking, having seizures, mood swings and personality disorder all at the same time...seriously needs some help...where did you find this bird? Lol Anyway if she dumped you just run and never look back... if u actually care about her, might wanna try getting her some help, go to the doctor, a psychiatrist. Good luck...you'll need it.
For God's sake, don't try to amateur-psychologise her by forcing her to confront her "other self". This isn't a TV show and forcing that kind of reaction from her could damage her very badly. Quite frankly, TSR knows sod-all about this problem. The people in this thread who are claiming that your girlfriend obviously has MPD don't know what they're talking about. I know just enough to tell you to ignore whatever you're told on here, and to take your girlfriend to see a doctor. If she won't go, go to the doctor yourself and discuss your options. It's a question of your girlfriend's mental health and quite possibly your safety as well as her own; the last thing you should be doing in this situation is taking the advice of ill-informed teenagers more used to talking about acne and periods on H&R.
