Haha sorry didn’t clock that! Anyone else applying with a 2870 and a first to qmul gem? Cus 2870 was their cutoff last year I feel very unsafe with this choice but kind of worth the risk for me

Yep 2870 was the exact cut off confirmed for Barts GEM 2021 entry for anyone else wondering.

I got the same as you, 2870 predicted 1.1 but dont have any other viable options so had to apply.

Did they confirm this during an open day- because their website says that the lowest UCAT score to be interviewed for the A101 course last year was 2770?

Hey guys, I'm looking to apply to Grad med at Barts. I have a 1st in Biomedical Sciences, UCAT 2900. However, my A levels are terrible (BBC), am I still in a good position?Also what are we predicting for UCAT cut offs this year, because they jumped last year.

As far as I am aware Barts do not look at A-levels for GEM so long as you have studied an appropriate degree, which Biomedical science is. With the cutoffs it is hard to tell as although this year the average decreased the number of applicants increased. As undergraduates also sit the UCAT it is impossible tell the spread of graduate scores which will be selected for interview. However, 2900 is a good score and puts you in the top decile so fingers crossed 👌

I am and Im really stressed yet there website also says for overseas students the lowest was both 2770 and 2870?!? As a overseas student I am very confused about how unsafe I should feel.

Hi! I’m applying to both the grad and undergrad courses at Barts - my UCAT is probably too low for grad entry (2780) but you never know and an achieved 1st in Pharmacy. It is my dream school, hence the double application. Good luck to everyone! :smile:

Grrr - just got an email where the only bit of subject that showed up was 'SMD Admissions' 'You're invited to our medicine interview' - turns out it was an interview prep seminar! Why do they do subject lines like this!

I know ahaha slightly heartbreaking to open it and see the rest. I don’t think we can even go to the prep session unless you lie about still being at school?
