Can English graduates apply for Ulster GEM? Are there any hidden costs? Is the course running ok?

I have 60 in the GAMSAT. Last year I applied for GEM at Swansea, Nottingham, St Andrews and St Georges. I don't know if I should select Ulster this year to try somewhere different.

Help!

Yep, English grads can apply. No hidden costs just the 9k a year tuition fees.

Do you think it’s worth applying with a gamsat score of 60?

Hi there, Last year the lowest score interviewed was 55. A score of 60 should put you in good stead for an interview spot hopefully !

Last year the intake was 70 so I'd presume around the same for this years application cycle.

Just got results got overall 58 which I’m happy with as it’s my first time sitting but for 49 in s1 - should I even hope for interview offer?

Reply 12

Hi, regarding a 49 in s3, unfortunately you need 50 in each section. They confirm this on the university website.

Just got gamsat results also, am really hoping for Ulster but scored 57 (63/64/52). Do you think this score will be enough for an interview or will it be higher ?

I got 56 in march and had an interview, the cut off was 55 as far as i know so fingers crossed!

I got 57 in March and got way lower this time (Sept) but sent off both March and Sept results so I really hope they take the March one into account, and also hope that 57 is enough for the cut off! Fingers crossed for us all

Does anyone know whether you can apply to the GEMS Ulster Uni course beyond the October 15th deadline for 2022 admission? Thanks!

No unfortunately not, it’s the same as all UK medicine courses, October 15th was the last day to apply to be considered for this application cycle

Okay, thanks.I got 58 in the GAMSAT sept sitting, would that be a safe enough score for 2023 entry or do you think it would be better to sit the GAMSAT again?

You have nothing to lose (apart from time and money!) from sitting it again. If you get a higher score... all well and good, otherwise you can always use your 58.
