I don't think the university has revealed what the minimum cut off is. So apply and see what happens.

It said that candidates must score in the second decile or above. This year second decile starts from 2270. However the admission policy PDF on the website said they will not offer interviews if you score below 3rd decile. Maybe worth sending them an email to double check.

Oh right, I wasn't aware of that, my bad. Yeah, sending them an email would be the best in this case.

Hi, anyone knows if we apply to Barts medicine in both London and Malta will we receive one or two interviews if successful?
I actually emailed about this around a month ago - if you applied to both QMUL London and Malta, you will only do one interview. If you get a QMUL London interview, you won't need another for Malta. There is a bit of hierarchy in that you will not hear back from QMUL Malta until QMUL London makes its decision. If you don't get a QMUL London interview, you can still get a QMUL Malta Interview (but it will be after that rejection from QMUL London/after QMUL London makes their final decision). If you get a QMUL London interview and then a rejection, you don't need to do another interview, but QMUL Malta may decide to send you an offer based on you score from that prior interview.

Based on the email I got from QMUL London, they shortlist by December 23rd and most people receive interview offers by January 16th or so. I am not sure when they send rejections, but as it takes 2-3 weeks to make a decision after interviews, I would imagine it'll be at least late January or Feb to hear back from QMUL Malta (with interview or rejection) if you don't get an interview at QMUL London.

Good luck to you and I hope you get an interview offer/acceptance!

I make an FOI request and here are the stats for the previous year entry:

Minimum UCAT -> 2291.

2020 lowest and highest UCAT scores given offer -> 1960 and 3090.
2021 lowest and highest UCAT scores given offer -> 2140 and 3000.

Number of spots per year (approx): 60

Offers by category for 2020 and 2021:

2020: 60 UK, 19 EU, 60 Overseas.
2021: 71 UK, 46 EU, 85 Overseas.

Total Applications by category for 2020 and 2021:
2020: This information is not held.
2021: UK 136, EU 65, Overseas 284.

Hope this helps! Also remember schools like Dundee, St, George, etc. have been known to put up medical spots for clearance spots on UCAS in the past two years, even if you don't get into any of the schools you applied to.

Is there any information on university weighting on your offer, e.g 50% ucat, 50% interview performance…?

Is there any one who is not an EU citizen applying to Queen Mary Malta? In such a situation, do you know if there are problems in continuing with the UK due to work/study permit and stuff?

Just add a why Malta section to your UCAS personal statement, and you would be good.
