I was just told that I could take 3 a-levels and a btec, but I'm not sure if that's true and if it is, would it be worth it?

Hi!

Yes, you can take 3 A-levels and a BTEC, this would do wonders for your UCAS points should you decide to go to university.

However, taking 3 A-levels within itself can be quite a workload.

I took one A-level and 2 BTECs, the BTEC subjects were significantly less workload and mainly coursework based, A-Levels are usually more exam based.

I would ask your college or sixth-form if it could be possible to perhaps trial taking all four subjects for the first two weeks, this could help you make a informed decision and see how you handle them all.

I did this and initially took 2 A-Levels and 2 BTECs but ended up dropping one of the A-Levels and just taking on the 3 courses.

Ask if this is possible and perhaps try to see if there is anyone that has taken a similar path and how they are finding it.
