Dry over text but fun in person

I don't rlly know how to explain this but I'm quite a fun guy to be with in person but I've had many ppl tell me that I'm sooooo dry over text.

My question is how can I improve at texting???

If people know that you are fun irl then that's the most important thing surely
99% of people are the other way round
It shouldn't matter in all honesty

1. Avoid too short texts. Some people dont even write a full sentences.
2. Express yourself. In person people can read your body language and tone of your voice but over text all the get is your words and emotes.
3. Try to engage in a conversation. Show your interest in the conversation ask questions and create opportiunities to respond for the other person. Put things out there that the other person can ask about if they are interested in taking the conversation to that direction.
4. Try to relate to what people write maybe saying you had a similar experience and elaborating on that a bit.
