Why do some Universities not look at EPQs?

Most uni's do recognize the benefit of the EPQ, as according to their websites, I've spoken about it in my PS. But yes apart from top Unis such as Bath, York, some courses for Bristol, not other prestigious universities will give you a reduced offer based on your EPQ. However, it is a good thing to put on your personal statement and may be a deciding factor when universities have some students with the same grades (e.g. AAA or AAA + A*(EPQ).

If you have a choice I would recommend doing it, its really good not only to show additional research in your chosen subject but also will develop your own interest.
