Biomedical Personal statement

What exactly are Uni's looking for in a Biomed personal statement?
I've not done much work experience considering that COVID had blocked my way into doing some experience at a lab or hospital, so what else can I talk about?
You should focus on your interest in the sorts of topics you will cover in the degree, eg through extra reading, watching online lectures etc

Anything that interests you. You won't be expected to have read any university-level textbooks or primary research articles, but a couple of good popular science books with evidence that you've thought about what you've read rather than just taken it at face value (do you agree with what the author(s) are suggesting, can you relate it to something you've studied at A-Level etc.) will stand you in good stead.
