Hi,

I am predicted ABB + I am doing an EPQ related to my uni course which I hope to get A/A* in.

Are these 5 options too aspirational or would they be okay?

I will list the entry requirements for each of my choices below:

1. AAA
2. AAB
3.ABB
4. BBB
5. BBC-BCC

Do any of them lower their requirements for an A/A* in EPQ?

Do you really need both 4 and 5?

I think they are fine but really dont think you need one as low as 5. Perhaps try another at ABB or BBB unless you are worried about meeting your grades. Most courses at BBC-BBC are usually in clearing every year anyway and often ABB and BBB courses accept students with 1 grade lower although this isnt guaranteed.

I think one or 2 of them lowers yes.

Are you suggesting 4&5 are too low and not both necessary then?

Thanks!

Well, you need to establish which ones.

I am suggesting both might be a waste. One tactic would be to apply with 3-4 choices then add the rest after you've had some responses though before the January 26 deadline. That way you would know whether you final choice/s could be aspirational or pragmatic. You would also be further into your A-levels so would have a better idea of what you are likely to get next summer.

I would swap choice 5 for another ABB choice or AAB if the uni reduces one grade for an A in the EPQ
