I really want to do Computer Science with a year abroad but is it even worth applying for Cardiff University if I don't quite reach the entry requirements, despite having decent grades and a strong IT background?

• Level 3 Extended Diploma in IT: DDD
• GCSE Computer Science: 7
• GCSE Mathematics: 6
• Previously worked in a local computer store
• Currently participating in a Software Development Bootcamp
• Listed my personal e-portfolio in my personal statement which features my ongoing and finished personal coding projects.

Cardiff University required you to have DD-DM and A-Level Math for Computer Science with a Year Abroad or DDM for the standard 3 year Computer Science course. I really want to do the year abroad in Cardiff University, do I even have a chance of getting in and is it even worth applying?
