I know it's a bit early but I want to know about potential work experience in physics for Year 12. My school asks for it in summer, but there isn't a lot for physics, and most of them you'd have to travel for. I want to know about opportunities and ideas for physics (especially astrophysics) work experience. Thank you )

I just googled "physics work experience" and a lot of online and free options come up, try and have a look before asking, then ask more specific questions if you have any queries

Honestly it won't matter if you haven't got it. This is just for your personal statement anyway, which also won't matter much. Physics isn't hard to get offers for at most unis

I joined this online programme last year

https://perimeterinstitute.ca/issyp

Its not work experience but a summer camp. Its hosted by Perimeter Institute which is quite well known for physics research. Its a really competitive summer camp, they only choose 40 people each year (20 from Canada, 20 from rest of the world). I had lots of fun on that programme and met many amazing people as well
