Fire alarm in some halls seems so sensitive that it can be set off by anything, even dusts from vacuum cleaning. I can't count how many times have there been false alarms for the past two months.

Happened to me last night, woke up every time it went off and barely got good sleep.

the fire alarm at my uni goes off every Wednesday(?) at like 9 am. It's really annoying since there's one in my room and one in the corridor and kitchen -it literally gives me a massive shock everytime it goes off.

That's probably a weekly fire alarm test, which I imagine they are legally required to carry out. I think OP meant random activations from other things...
