By attending a king Edwards grammar sixth form, is it better than a college, as in does it look good

I don't think further education centre matters. What matters is that the qualifications you studied are relevant and you have good grades, as well as extracurriculars and usually work experience helps too. They won't be more inclined to accept you because you went to a sixth form instead of college.

You make yourself stand out not the school, BUT it may be easier to maintain motivation and a good work discipline in a school where the students have been selected on academic performance. But note I only said "may", some students perform less well if they feel too pressurised and perform better in the college environment. There is no one answer fits all.
