Welcome to the A-level French Study Group! 
This is where you can chat to others students taking your subject as you prepare for your A-level exams this summer
What can I do in these groups?
Almost anything! If you need help with a certain topic, want to rant about something you are struggling with or just want to support other students who are trying to prepare, this is the place for you. We want these to be a useful place for everyone no matter what you're looking for!
What can't I do in these groups?
Asking or offering copyright papers is against our site rules, and so is taking conversation off-site to do these things. Any posts doing this will be removed. That's the only rule
Ice Breaker questions if you want to use them!

(** ok so it took me 5 mins to think whether I needed agreement on the end of choisi there^^ lol. I'm pretty sure it does, as it's an example of a preceding direct object in the passé composé, but I'll probably double check with a native speaker cos it looks so weird!! I didn't mean for a simple sentence to get so complicated- but what do we expect, c'est le français

😂😂 c’est vrai ça, le français es-tu trop compliqué! Pour A level j’ai choisi les maths, la biologie, et la chimie mais maitenant j’ai horreur de maths et je suis pas sure si je peux les changer pour le français parce que c’est trop tard et il n’y plus de prof de français car il n’y avait pas assez d’élèves qui étudient français. Alors je me sens tellement piégée et j’ai aucune idée qu’est-ce que je dois faire. Est-ce que tu peux me donner des conseils?

serait-il possible de l'étudier hors de lycée, avec un professeur particulier? d'ailleurs, j'adore ton expression <<se sentir piégée>> c'est tres jolie. Mais aussi triste
j'espere que tout va bien marcher pour toi!! Mon conseil serait de parler avec le lycée et voir ce qu'on pense- apres le <<half term>> j'imagine qu'ils ne pourront rien faire car il sera trop tard. Ton niveau de français me semble excellent donc je suis sur que tu peux commencer le français maintenant et tres vite rattraper le re-tarddésolée je ne peux pas mettre les accents graves
. et j'ai mis un hyphene dans le dernier mot parce qu'en anglais c'est dérogatoire mais en francais ca veut dire " to catch up "

I did the edexcel paper 1 - reading, listening, and translation a few days ago, and it went well, bearing in mind I was doing much less revision than what I would have needed to do for a maths paper. I have paper 2 next week and its only 2 essays - one on a book and one on a film, which you have all year to study.
My advice - do whatever you can to take french while you still have the chance. I switched in the last week of september. Maths is a nightmare
SAVE YOURSELF WHILE YOU STILL CAN!!!

@ bluehazard1509 Thanks so much honestly I was thinking the same thing because I found french soo much easier at GCSE and I love the language so much. The A level seems so much easier. I’m actually just waiting for an email from my school as they might allow me to switch as the GCSE french teacher is willing to do the a level with me

je sais faire les accents aigus comme áéíóú (press alt gr while pressing the letter you want) mais je ne sais pas mettre les accents graves :/
