Dropping out of my Uni Degree to study an Art Foundation

I have been at uni studying Textile Design BA Tons for the past month . I never wanted to do a degree but was pressured into doing so by my school . After being here for a month Ive realised how unhappy Ive been and how much Id rather study a Art Foundation for a year and go on from there. Im currently writing my Personal Statement and wondering if its needed to mention I just dropped out of uni?
