My school has a thing where you can practice interviews with a member of staff, so if yours does the same that might be useful so that you can get used to the whole process (if you can predict what might happen in the interview it might take the stress off you a bit). If you think it’s definitely going to affect your performance at interview, maybe email admissions and let them know if you haven’t already? That way they can take it into consideration.
hi, just wondering how other people are preparing for interviews?

Mine's on Tuesday, I'm weirdly calm about it (more than I anticipated, at least). I'm going to reread my personal statement and written work. I might read something for fun to take my mind off of everything. Ultimately, I'm trying to enjoy the process and conversation. Even if I don't get in, it's still a great opportunity to talk to experts in their field; I've looked up the people who are interviewing me and all their specialisms seem really cool. I don't see any point in over-preparing because you'll need to answer the question at hand, and that could be anything. What I'm most worried about is my poor WiFi!

mine's tomorrow! i feel a bit nervous but I'm not terrified for it. Yeah I think it's important to try and view it as a conversation not an interview. Good luck for yours!
Oof both my interviews were okay-ish. I was very nervous and definitely didn’t do the best that I could in response to each question. Not expecting to get in but I’m happy I applied.
Did anyone else get an email asking them to add any books they read for pleasure that can be discussed within the interview?
No but it probably varies between colleges.
Hi Just wondering if everyone has had their interviews and how they are feeling about them? I had 2 in total, both with text analysis followed by discussions on themes in my personal statement. I was really stretched with the questions in my second interview - trying not to over analyse my responses. Well done to everyone who has had theirs as well and good luck to those who haven't

I had the same format. I know some people had one with pre-reading and one without. It is so difficult not to overthink what could have been said. I'm just glad to have gotten this far. 😊

Yes I think you've got to be in it to win it, but to takes guts to go through the process. Big virtual pat on our backs
Hope everyone is doing well after the interviews. Just wondering how everyone is suppressing their inner Tigger until the 25. I've managed to catch a cold which is definitely proving to be a diversion. How about you?
I thought mine went ok when I finished them, they weren’t nearly as hard as I expected (but that’s probably because I was very nervous before it started and so was preparing for the absolute worst lmao). I’m overthinking all my answers now :/ I wish we didn’t have to wait so long to find out how we did!! I really don’t want to get my hopes up because statistically I’m likely to be rejected, but since my experience was better than I thought it was it’s difficult not to imagine what it would be like to get in…
Wow that is the exact mirror of how I’m feeling. I was so nervous and tried so hard to recap as many elements from my application as possible in anticipation of a v challenging interview. My perception is they didn’t go badly in fact one went pretty well but as you say it feels too risky to read anything into them. There are just so many factors.
idk if anyone else stayed up but i got 44 which isnt horrible but definitely could’ve gone better
i’m pretty certain i got the worst score so i’m definitely not getting in and i’m just gonna be depressed about it for the next few days

Getting into Oxbridge is not a reflection of your self worth or even your intelligence. They know maybe four or five pieces of information with which to judge your whole academic profile. You’re clearly really smart if you’ve even applied and will thrive wherever you go.
