English language A-level

Hello, I’ve just started English language A-level and I have an essay tomorrow on language and power within a transcript. We haven’t really been taught how to structure an essay yet and I’m not really sure what to talk about in the paragraphs. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks :smile:

We’ve been told to study lexis&semantics and grammar - would these go in separate paragraphs?

Do whatever you feel works best! Your teacher likely hasn’t taught you how to structure an essay on purpose to see what point you’re already at, so it’s best if it’s entirely based on what you feel is right and they can direct you from there!
