advice?
Past papers always used to do the job for me. Looking at the extract and seeing what the mark scheme would pick up on.

My daughter is doing IGCSE (the exam is a week on Monday) but she practices regularly using these books (even though they're for GCSE, there's a lot of overlap)

And she's done 1 past paper a week for the past few weeks, and carefully gone through the mark scheme and the examiner's notes each time.

Do as many past papers as you can and mark them in timed conditions. This will expose you to the types of questions that will come up and help you complete the exam within the time limit.

Read a book (fiction or non-fiction) or newspaper for about 15 minutes everyday. This will help with vocabulary and the creative writing components.

Use YouTube (so many resources):
Mr Bruff - https://www.youtube.com/user/mrbruff
Mr Salles - https://www.youtube.com/user/dominicsalles
Mrs Whelan - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC0j...GPts6hpbKZ-7Bw
Mr Everything English - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCg-...7v5H_OoAHqdAMA

Make flashcards for language techniques and subject specific terminology with examples.

Good luck!
