I love my mum and we laugh a lot etc. But since I’ve turned 18 my perspective of her has changed…I feel like she clings to me too much and I’m fed up with it. I try to tell her gently but she still gets offended- I wanted to go on a walk yesterday by myself and she told me to **** off…just because I went on my own. Whenever I arrange plans with friends she tries to interfere eg wants to drive me even though I’ll get a bus or doesn’t like who I’m going out with. I’m leaving home next year and wanted to slowly get her to stop clinging to me but she’s making it hard.

Any advice please?

Thanks
