I just cannot read. Like I’m in year 11 and during reading time I just stare out the window. I can’t focus. Idk what happened because I loved reading books as a kid. I love jaqueline Wilson and diary of a wimpy kid.
But now I’m too old for the books. I’ve tried finding books that will interest me but after 5 pages, I either lose interest or can’t be bothered. It also takes me A LOT of motivation to get through 5pages. My brain just goes elsewhere and I start day dreaming.
How can I actually enjoy reading?? I want to read but just get so distracted. I need to improve my English for GCSES. I’ve tried reading in quiet and loud Rooms.
Thanks

you enjoy reading if it’s a book you like.

filter down lots of books until you find one you like; one that gets you excited to keep reading on
