no, i would say around 5-6 months.
couple of weeks in fact for you, since you can drive an automatic and know the rules of the road anyways i'd say a 2 weeks (4 hours if you have 2 lessons)

no way in hell does it take 5-6 months lol, i started from scratch having never touched a car before and i was driving perfectly in 2 months.
omg 2 weeks are enough ...!

Proobably just a couple of lessons, and a load of practice.

It's not a difficult concept to understand how a manual car works, it just takes practice at hill starts and clutch control, and maneuvers (can't spell that damn word) before you'd probably be totally confident.

********! you may have been driving, but i bet you couldn't do any of the manoevers.

oops op, didn't read the bit where it said you can already drive :o:. yeah, a few weeks. probably 3-4 weeks

actually i could do all the maneuvers as well..... i passed within 3.5 months (due to the waiting time for exams otherwise would have done it a month earlier) with 2 minors

oh my god I can't believe people think it would take 6 months! either those people have never driven or are absolutely untalented! normally people can 'drive' after their first lesson, 'driving' itself is not that hard, it's more about traffic rules and parking manoeuvres and stuff like that, but as you said you drive automatic already I assume you know all that, so I don't think you will need more than one single lesson! manual driving is really not that different!

are you sure your instructor isn't trying to get as much money out of you as possible? and no wonder you think it takes 5-6 months lol

Won't take that long, if you can already drive with automatic. It's just a matter of changing gears in correlation to speed.

That is pretty bad, no offence.

5-6 months is pretty normal. You seemed to do quite a fast course of lessons - most people can't pick it up that quickly/can't afford it.

Well if she's only have one lesson a week, that's fine.

A month to 3 months maybe, if that's once a week..?

Depends, everyone's different. :p:
